Celebrity Frank Cherrito

Frank Cherrito

A native of Kansas City, Frank Cherrito’s singing career began over 10 years ago at a restaurant on Admiral and Grand. At the encouragement of his buddy who owned the establishment, Frank sang on Friday nights to pass the time. Soon, Frank found he was booking gigs across the metro area and beyond.

His energizing performances of Elvis Presley, Neil Diamond, Sinatra, Martin and many more get his fans on their feet. In fact, Frank is not content to simply sing from a stage. Two songs into a set, you’ll find Frank off the stage and out in the audience encouraging participation.

"Anyone can buy a CD and listen to their favorite singers at home," says Frank. "So I get out in the audience and connect with people. When I see someone singing along, I go right over and share the mike. Everyone enjoys it."

His performances of hits like "All Shook Up" by Elvis Presley, "Coming to America" by Neil Diamond and "New York, New York" by Frank Sinatra caught the ear of a California restaurant owner. So Frank found himself outside Chicago Freddy’s in Palm Desert, California for what was supposed to be a three month engagement, which turned into a year.

Now Frank is back home and ready to embark on a new stage—cruise ships—as Global Connections’ newest entertainer. You can also find him at his favorite places to play around town, including Anthony’s Restaurant, Touche’s Night Club, Vivace’s and the Copa Room.

Frank Cherrito also performs at special events. His most recent high-profile performance was for the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City.
